On the very day of his 6 month birthday and his very first show, he was awarded Best In Sweepstakes at the 1999 Borzoi Canada National Specialty Show as well as Reserve Winners Dog over adult competition.
At the 2000 Detroit Kennel Club & Midwest Borzoi Club Supported show he was Winners Dog and Best of Winners at just over 12 months of age for a 5 point major win over an entry of 52 males.
At the 2000 Greater Twin Cities Borzoi Club Specialty he was Best of Opposite in Sweepstakes and Reserve Winners Dog from the 15 to 18 month class. Later this year he finished his AKC American Championship and Junior Courser title.
In the fall of 2000, Vinnie sired his first litter. There was only one surviving puppy, Ch Venice Shores Angelina. Angelina was out of Ch Majenkir Moxie Minx of Venice Shores. His second litter was to be born much later, in 2021. This was a single puppy litter, Ch Rivervue The Soloist out of Ch Rivervue Coming on Strong.
At the 2002 Detroit Kennel Club & Midwest Borzoi Club Specialty he was awarded Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty, a very prestigious award. The next day at the Detroit Kennel Club & Borzoi Club of America Supported show he repeated his Best of Opposite award. Vinnie won the honor of Hound Group 1st place at the Progressive Kennel Club show and the next day received a Hound Group 4th placement. He was also Winners Dog - Best of Winners and Best of Breed - giving him a Specialty Best in Show win at the Borzoi Club of Ontario Specialty in Canada. At the Canadian Eastern Regional Specialty (Trillium) he was the WD, BOW. He has received 3 more Hound Group 2nd placements and another Hound Group 4th. 2002 was a good year for Vinnie and he finished as USA's Top Ten Borzoi No. 7- 2002 and Canada's Top Ten Borzoi No. 2.
In 2003 he finished as No.25 top borzoi after just two weekends of shows! Ginger had planned to show him seriously again in 2004 and had great expectation as he looked better than ever. It was to everyone’s great sorrow that he became acute ill with a serious lung infection and was not to save.
